Everything on PC Part Hunt comes from the stores' own public listings, processed by the rules on this page. Nothing here is paid placement. Where software can get something wrong, this page says so, and the corrections section tells you how to flag it.
Where the data comes from
We track 10 Indian online stores: MDComputers, PrimeABGB, Vedant Computers, EliteHubs, TheITDepot, PC Studio, Vishal Peripherals, Computech Store, Amazon, Flipkart. Every price, stock status, title and picture is read from the store's public catalogue: its product feed where the store publishes one, otherwise its category and search pages. We do not type prices in by hand, and we do not buy data from third parties.
Each store is checked about every 6 hours. Every price on the site shows when it was last checked. How we get prices has the details, including what happens when a store blocks a check.
Prices
- The store's own number. Prices are in Indian rupees, as the store lists them, which for Indian stores includes GST. We never add to a price or round it.
- Lowest means lowest in stock. A cheaper listing that is out of stock is shown in the table, marked out of stock, and is not counted as the lowest price.
- Not included: delivery charges, bank and card offers, coupons and anything else applied at checkout. The price at the store's checkout is the one you pay.
- One record per part. A part's price lives in one place. The part page, listings, search, the builder and the guides all read the same number, so two pages cannot disagree.
- History. We keep one price per store per day for 90 days. A part is shown as "price dropped" only when it is at least 5% below its own typical price over the last 30 days, never because a store shows a struck-through "was" price.
Stock
A listing is in stock when the store says so. It is marked out of stock when the store marks it sold out or unavailable, or when it has been missing from the store for three checks in a row. A listing that stays gone is removed after 14 days. Stores sometimes show stock they do not have; when you follow a link, the store's page is the final word.
Sorting parts into categories
Stores file products loosely. A store's "graphics card" search returns phone VR headsets, and a monitor whose port list says "headphone" gets filed as a headset. We sort every listing by its title with a set of written rules, and we test those rules against the whole live catalogue: each change is checked against every listing, every move it causes is reviewed, and real titles are kept as tests so a fix stays fixed.
Things that are not PC products (kitchen containers, LED strip controllers sold as power supplies, books) are dropped rather than listed. Add-ons sold for a product, such as a GPU support bracket or a console stand, are filed as accessories, not as the product.
Today we list 44,585 parts, 20,675 of them in stock somewhere. The largest categories: monitor (3,787), desktop pc (2,919), fans cooling (2,585), memory ram (2,550), gaming laptop (2,537), ssd (2,477), motherboard (2,266), graphics card (2,066).
Matching the same part across stores
Each store names a product differently. We read the brand, category and model from each title and group listings that agree. Variants that matter are kept apart: memory size, Ti and Super suffixes, capacities and editions. A model name that is too vague to identify a product on its own ("120mm", "1TB", "Pro") is combined with the words that name the product, so two different coolers or games are not shown as one. When a regrouping moves a part to a new address, the old address redirects to the new one.
Matching by software is not perfect. If two different parts are shown as one, or one part appears twice, please tell us.
The PC builder's checks
The builder checks the parts you pick, as you pick them:
- Processor socket must match the motherboard socket.
- Memory type must match the motherboard (DDR4 or DDR5), and AM5 and LGA 1851 processors take DDR5 only.
- Laptop memory (SO-DIMM) is flagged in a desktop build.
- Motherboard size is checked against the case (an ATX board in a Micro-ATX case is flagged).
- Power supply wattage is compared with an estimate of the build's draw plus headroom.
Store titles do not give graphics card length, cooler height or a power supply's connectors, so the builder reminds you to check those on the store page rather than guessing. Every message says what is wrong and what to do about it. The builder's total uses the lowest in-stock price for each part, which may be at different stores.
Buying guides
Parts in the guides are picked on price, stock and fit for the stated budget, from the same live data as the rest of the site. Prices in a guide update with the catalogue. A guide never favours a part because a store pays us.
Store links and how we earn money
PC Part Hunt is free. It is paid for by commissions from some stores: when you follow a link and buy, the store may pay us a small amount. You pay the same price either way.
Stores whose links currently carry our code: MDComputers, Vedant Computers, TheITDepot, Computech Store, Amazon. Links to the other stores carry no code.
A commission never changes the order (in stock first, then cheapest), never hides a store, and never changes a price. The affiliate disclosure has the full list and is generated from the codes the site actually uses.
What this site is not
- Not a store. We do not sell, ship or take payment. You buy from the store, on the store's terms; see the returns and refunds page.
- Not sponsored. No brand or store pays for placement, ranking or a mention.
- Not a guarantee. Prices and stock change between checks, and a store can be wrong about its own stock. The store's page at the moment you buy is what counts.
- No reviews or ratings of our own. We do not invent ratings. Benchmark scores, where shown, come from public UserBenchmark data and are matched by model name; a part without a confident match shows none.
Corrections
If you see a wrong price, a wrong stock status, a part in the wrong category, two different parts shown as one, or a broken store link, email Yash Kute at [email protected] with the page address and what is wrong. We acknowledge within 24 hours and fix confirmed errors within 7 days. When a mistake comes from one of our rules, we fix the rule and add the case to our tests, so the same mistake does not come back.
